This comprehensive range of Door Controls feature varying power sized units for many different door applications. They come with a choice of architectural covers which are each available in 26 different plated or colour coated finishes.To help select the correct closer for you, each unit has a listing showing their key features, certification numbers and fire ratings. Plated arms are available on certain units only, and test certificates are available upon request.BS EN1154 ClassificationThis standard classifies door closers using a 6 digit coding system. Each digit relates to a particular feature of the product measured against the standards performance requirements.Digit (1) – Category of use:’3′ denotes the unit is for closing doors from at least 105.’4′ denotes the unit is for closing doors from 180 open.Digit (2) – Durability:’8′ successfully completed 500,000 test cycles.Digit (3) – Test door mass/size:Seven grades are identified as shown in the table below (where acloser provides a range of power sizes both the minimum andmaximum sizes shall be shown):Power size Test door mass Recommended door leaf width1 20kg 750mm2 40kg 850mm3 60kg 950mm4 80kg 1100mm5 100kg 1250mm6 120kg 1400mm7 160kg 1600mmDigit (4) – Fire behaviour:’0′ denotes the unit is NOT suitable for use on fire/smoke doors.’1′ denotes the unit IS suitable for use on fire/smoke doors.Digit (5) – Safety in use:’1′ all door closer units are required to stisfy the essential requirement of safety in use.Digit (6) – Corrosion-resistance:’0′ – indicates no defined corrosion-resistance,’1′ – indicates mild corrosion-resistance,’2′ – indicates a moderate level of corrosion-resistance,’3′ – indicates high corrosion-resistance,’4′ – indicates very high corrosion-resistance.Within this section units have been tested to BS EN1154, with many units also having been tested to current Certifire testing and CE test criteria.
